It happened to me this morning, 31.10.2023. I wanted a 1-month ticket on bus 4 at the Park Barn shop. The driver says £68. I ask him why? Because I inquired yesterday and another driver said £55. He looked at me confused and told me to buy a week. But I said that I want a 4-week or 1-month ticket. Since there were many people behind me waiting to take off, I said OK. I tried to pay by card, but the driver said that I couldn't because the amount was too much. Do I have cash? So I paid in cash. He then gave me 4 tickets. It's my fault because I didn't check it, although I thought it was strange why I got 4 tickets. I had to drop by the hospital because I had an appointment. While waiting, I looked at the ticket and realized that I had received 4 identical tickets. But since I didn't pay by card, I can't expect any refund or exchange. I was disappointed that a bus driver did not understand that it was a monthly ticket.

Really unhappy with this bus service. I have had so many instances where I have been waiting at a bus stop in the morning to head into work and the safegaurd bus drivers do not stop because they see a stagecoach at the bus stop. Once I even had a safegaurd bus driver see me, gesture towards the stagecoach bus (as if to tell me to get on that one) and drive off without stopping. I buy a 4 week pass in advance which is not interchangeable on a stagecoach bus. This has happened to me 3 times in october, leaving me no choice but to pay an additional bus fair towards the stagecoach on top of the 55 pounds I have already paid in advance for my 4 week bus ticket.

Absolutely phenomenal company with great drivers, especially bus drivers, such as Robert. There is amazing buses and frequent services. Well done Safeguard! 🤩

Another poor experience with this coach company. Held us up as driver was late picking up his coach. Not fair on school children. Not the first time they have messed up.

I have been using this buses drivers are always good but today I had worst experience. I was waiting for bus and bus arrived at 9.22 at Woodbridge meadows towards town centre. I asked the driver I wanted to know how many stops are there ahead as I was getting late and I wanted to make sure I get in right bus. The driver was so rude he didn't know the stops ahead and told me to pay without knowing and when I said I wanted to know first he told me to get out of the bus and take some other. He was so ride and didnt know how many stops were there approximately towards the final destination. I hope they take some action towards such drivers and train them about the routes.

Stuart on the late rounds last night was absolutely brilliant. A severe accident shut the A3 northbound and cause tailbacks that led to being in a traffic jam for almost an hour from the hospital to town centre. His mannerisms, professional attitude and driving were excellent. From keeping up everyones spirits with his chat and information and customer care regarding windows being opened to creating gaps fir the numerous emergency vehicles trying to get through the standstill traffic, he was outstanding. Not often i leave reviews anywhere, so definitely a standout job after a long shift l. Thank you Stuart

Been taking the 4 and 5 bus almost every day for two years now and most drivers are decent, some you can have quick nice chat with but some are absolutely horrendous. Especially the frequent night drivers. Some drive unsafely. One time a driver literally drove into a car because he wasn’t concentrating. Had a couple near misses as well. There have been times where I have waited for the bus for over half an hour and they have driven straight past. It is absolutely ridiculous and makes me feel even unsafer. I shouldn’t be worried if I’ll get this or that certain driver when I am trying to commute to work :/ I will be switching to stagecoach

Terrible service especially at peak times on the bus 4/5 from the royal Surrey hospital. Turn up very late or not at all. Today all 3 buses showed up at once at 16:50 while people had been waiting since 16:10. Standards really falling since arriva services stopped. Wish they still had some competition.

For Safeguard Managers/Owner. Buses are often late without reason leaving people standing in queues for up to an hour despite advertising buses every 15mins around Guildford. NHS staff unable to get to the wards to serve the Surrey population. Managers please support your drivers by adding more buses at peak times for the hospital journeys.
