Lovely local bakery
On the premises baking as well as bought in. Cakes, savories, bread 🍞 and I think free range eggs. Reasonable prices.
Great coffee
Ample Parking, easy to access right by the side of the road, outdoor seating.
Lovely staff very friendly and efficient.

The place was very crowded when we attended. In spite of this, we were served in a very reasonable amount of time and the people were very friendly. I do not understand some of the low ratings that this place has received. They have fresh sandwiches and an excellent range of baked goods.
The only thing that I could suggest is to have some of the sandwiches with sliced cheese as opposed to grated. This is just a personal preference and I still give this place a five star rating because of its robust merits.
***We recently attended this place on 23 December 2023. Most of the items had been sold, which speaks volumes about the impressive quality of the food and the excellent levels of customer service. The atmosphere is VERY friendly and I want to thank the excellent members of staff who work so hard to ensure that the goods are always displayed nicely and for treating their customers in such a lovely manner. I have also included a few videos in my review.***

Absolutely fab bakers. I've been calling in every time I pass for over 60 years!! Yes, since early childhood. Who can resist Christmas Bakery! They do lunch to go, bread and cakes. They'll cut your bread while you wait .... now that's good, old-fashioned service. The staff are a delight - a rarity these days!! Support independent bakers!! We need to keep them!! Thank you, Christmas Bakery!!

Over rated bakery & over priced for the quality .. some of the breads (multi seed) are excellent however sourdough for example is poor .. the cakes lack consistency eg Battenberg (sometimes cake dry with thin layer marzipan whilst other weeks well baked soft moist sponge and well coloured or their malt bread sometimes a sweet moist cake other times lacks the moist texture expect .. they have tiny selection of fresh cream cakes if they even do them anymore ..majority are artificial cream. Staff dower and unfriendly .. this bakery is popular as its a generational thing in the area and has no competition ..

Christmas Bakery (Rickford) is very popular and sell a wide range of breads, cakes, sandwiches etc…..
They bake on the premises and some of the more popular loaves of bread etc…sell out by the afternoon.
I notice a few reviews mention poor service. I have never experienced this. The staff have always been friendly and efficient, when I’ve visited.
I thoroughly recommend Christmas Bakery. 😀

We visited The Christmas Bakery this morning after driving past and noticing the trailer in the car park serving up reasonably priced, delicious, breakfast baps. The staff (Suzanne and Callum) were very welcoming and attended to my dietary requirements and even made sure we were enjoying our food on the benches in the sun. We couldn’t help but take a look inside the bakery where we came across some of the best cakes and treats we’ve eaten. I can’t fault a single thing about this place, we will be returning with friends and family. Thank you all at The Christmas Bakery!

I love this bakery. It's a very well known little gem, located near to Guildford. It does a very pleasant selection of cakes and sweet buns. Everyone including myself seems to love this little bakery even the Police pop in to purchase a slice of cake.
